    My experience with Hawthorne at Tradition s has been awful. Do not be fooled by the amenities. You can get the same quality or better at other places without the headache. I have lived in apartments for at least a decade now, and this is one of the worst management that I have had the displeasure of dealing with.

    My apartment was filthy when I moved in. Dirty carpets, washer filled with gunk, caked over debris that I had to clean. I’ve asked about 5 times now if my carpets were cleaned before I moved in. Management still hasn’t responded to my requests. I have work orders dating back to 5 months now. Refrigerator water filter was broken when I moved in. I asked to have it replaced 5 months ago. Still hasn’t been replaced. Management initially told me that a new filter had been ordered (4months ago). This turned out to be a lie. 3 months after my initial work order, a maintenance person came in and reset the filter light without actually replacing the filter. Of course that didn’t fix the problem. I called the office again asking to have filter replaced. I was then told that I am responsible for the filter even though it was bad when I moved in.

    My carpets smell like sewer. I have asked many times to see some kind of evidence that carpets were cleaned before I moved in. Management has avoided answering my questions at every turn. It took two work order requests and 6 weeks to get my broken living room blinds fixed.

    I wasn’t given a mailbox number when I moved in. It took management over a month to get me my mailbox number. After getting said mailbox number, the key I was given at move in did not work. I had to wait another week to get the right key. The key fob I was given to get access to the front gate and clubhouse did not work for two months post move in. Now, management has just given up on locking the gates. They just leave it wide open for anyone to drive on in.

    There are so many other issues that management just refuses to fix or address, that I cannot even begin to detail here. When I toured the property, they boasted about their award winning staff. This is not the case.
